Matthew Krautz

Matthew Krautz Managing Director

Matthew started his career at Albury Stainless Steel as an apprentice fabricator in 1997. A 4-year term successfully building a sound knowledge base and skill set. The year 2001 saw him complete this with flying colours, only then to be given the role of workshop leading hand. This had Matthew build on his leadership skills that would soon see him given the role of project manager.

Matthew worked for Albury Stainless Steel for 11 consecutive years before venturing out and working all over Australia at food processing plants, mining and construction, oil and gas, and petrochemical plants. During this time Matthew gained further qualifications as a certified welder shortly followed by weld inspection and quality assurance.

Matthews’s highlights within his carrier would have to be working on one of Australia’s largest construction sites (APLNG) Australian Pacific LNG, where he was employed as a leading hand with the responsibility of supervising a large welding crew.

After these years of invaluable experiences, Matthew returned to Albury Stainless Steel in 2015. His role to be that of managing and designing projects.

Matthew was back doing what he loved doing. In 2017, Matthew was given the opportunity to take on the business with Luke Suters.
